We plan and execute developmental test and evaluation of advanced aerospace systems – with world-class installation and mission support – to sharpen American airpower for the warfighter. Home of the world's largest runway, the 412th Test Wing at Edwards plans, conducts, analyzes, and reports on all flight and ground testing of aircraft, weapons systems, software and components as well as modeling and simulation for the U.S. Air Force. There are three core components for this mission: flying operations, maintenance and engineering. A team of over 11,000 consisting of active duty, federal civilian and contractor support works shoulder-to-shoulder to execute this mission at Edwards Air Force Base, USAF Plant 42, and deployed detachments across the globe.
