About 4C Services

4C stands for Certification for Climate, Conservation and Communities. As a leading global sustainability standard for the coffee and cocoa sectors, we empower producers to implement environmentally friendly, socially fair, and economically viable practices. Our mission is to strengthen sustainable supply chains worldwide through a robust, multi-stakeholder framework. With over 10% of global coffee area covered, 4C certification reaches 19 countries and more than 300,000 farmers, the majority of whom are smallholders. Our standard ensures that cultivation does not contribute to deforestation or biodiversity loss, while promoting Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) to protect soil, water, and air. Central to our mission is the rigorous protection of human, labour, and land rights, alongside comprehensive training to boost farmer productivity and profitability. To ensure the highest levels of integrity, 4C utilises advanced risk assessment tools, including remote sensing technology and digital traceability applications. These innovations streamline the certification process and provide transparent due diligence across the entire supply chain. Leveraging our long-standing expertise, 4C offers tailored solutions for smallholders and drives high-impact sustainability projects.
