About Abington School District

Abington School District is a K-12 public school system located outside of Philadelphia in the suburbs of Montgomery County, PA. With more than 8,100 students from Abington Township and the Borough of Rockledge, the District has over 1,200 employees (680 professional staff members and 531 support staff positions), along with seven elementary schools, one middle school and one senior high school. Our Mission Building upon the historical and culturally diverse roots of our community and its proud traditions, and recognizing the uniqueness of each student, Abington School District prepares students for both the challenges and opportunities of their futures by promoting excellence as the standard and achievement as the result. Our Vision Abington Schools will be engaging and innovative learning environments, focused upon student excellence and achievement in both academic and co-curricular pursuits.
