AfID offers accountants and senior finance professionals the opportunity to support non-profits globally. Overseas volunteer assignments, specialist nfp recruitment, Treasurer sourcing & flagship Leadership Mentor Programme all form part of an ongoing strategy to strengthen the financial management, leadership capacity and sustainability of charities operating in over 50 countries. Professionals could be budgeting with a street-child centre in Kampala, coaching a hospital bookkeeper in Kigali, strengthening reporting for a school in Kathmandu or mentoring a CEO, Country Director or Head of Finance navigating growth, funding pressures and governance challenges. UK and international recruitment roles include FD, CFO, FC, FM, Project & Programme Accountant, Internal Audit, Financial Consultant and Management Accountant positions, with or without overseas travel. Our partners, including INGOs, NGOs, charities and social enterprises, undertake exceptional work tackling poverty and inequality but are often unable to access experienced financial leadership and professional support. AfID’s Leadership Mentor Programme provides confidential, peer-level support for CEOs, founders, CFOs, Heads of Finance and senior NGO leaders. Experienced CFOs, FDs, COOs & CEOs provide practical mentorship and an experienced external perspective around leadership, governance, organisational change, financial sustainability and strategic decision-making. AfID has supported more than 1000 charities and non-profit organisations across Africa, Asia and South America. We have organised overseas and remote assignments for thousands of accountants, finance leaders and consultants from over 45 countries, alongside specialist recruitment for finance professionals and consultants across the international development sector.
