Addfield Environmental Systems is a worldwide leader in the design and manufacture of animal, medical, aquaculture, mobile and bespoke incineration and cremation machines. Our story began in 1982, when Richard Sherratt of Shrewsbury designed and built the very first Addfield incinerator. Running a successful agricultural machinery parts company, Richard saw a clear need for better control of animal waste on farms and built a machine to solve it. That problem-first, quality-first thinking still defines us today. In 2008, entrepreneur Steven Lloyd acquired Addfield and rebranded it as Addfield Environmental Systems Ltd, growing it from a one-man operation into a global manufacturer. In 2021 we launched our sister company, Addfield Projects Ltd, dedicated to large-scale, high-capacity and bespoke waste treatment facilities. In 2023, both companies were acquired by an investment fund advised by Darwin Alternatives, securing long-term investment in our people, research and manufacturing.
