Auditory brain training for sound sensitivity, learning & focus. Home of The Listening Program®.
About Advanced Brain Technologies
Advanced Brain Technologies (ABT) develops auditory brain training programs that change how the brain processes sound, language, and learning. When the auditory system struggles to process sound accurately, the effects reach beyond hearing. Clients present with challenges in attention, language development, emotional regulation, and behavior. ABT's programs address the underlying auditory system directly. The Listening Program® is ABT's neuroscience-based music listening therapy, delivered through structured, progressive listening protocols using neuroacoustically modified music. Independent peer-reviewed research supports its use across auditory processing disorder, sound sensitivity, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, sensory processing challenges, and learning disabilities. ASHA's Evidence Maps include a systematic review of The Listening Program for Central Auditory Processing Disorder and Spoken Language Disorders. More than a million people have used The Listening Program since 1999 in homes, schools, clinics, and hospitals across more than 35 countries. The program is built for consistent daily practice between appointments. Each client follows an individualized listening plan designed around their specific profile. Clinical time stays focused on interpretation and progress. The daily practice is the client's own work, structured and consistent. ABT was founded in 1998 by Alex Doman, a third-generation pioneer in brain health and neurodevelopment with more than 30 years of experience working with clinicians and educators worldwide. More than 10,000 occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, audiologists, and educators have been certified in The Listening Program. ABT is an approved continuing education provider for the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and IBCCES. Provider certification, CEUs, and auditory brain training programs are available through ABT's worldwide network.
