About Advisory Council on IT assessment
The Advisory Council on IT assessment (AcICT), the successor of the Bureau IT assessment (BIT), assesses risk and likelihood of succes of major central government IT-projects as well as effectiveness and efficiency of maintenance of major information systems. The Council provides independent advice directly to the responsible minister or parliament. Its position is governed by the Act Advisory Council on IT assessment of 1 july 2024 (Wet Adviescollege ICT-toetsing).
