Company intelligence
Aho
Cryptographic identity verification, built for the AI era.
About Aho
Aho is the verifiable credentials API for verifying age, credentials, and identity without storing sensitive data. The way most companies verify "is this person who they say they are?" is breaking. Asking users to upload their driver's license destroys conversion -- and creates massive security risk. As AI makes fake documents harder to detect every day, document inspection is on borrowed time. Aho takes a different approach: we verify cryptographic signatures from the issuing authority -- a DMV, university, employer, or government. Users present credentials from their Apple or Google Wallet, and the verifier gets a cryptographic yes/no -- not a copy of the underlying document. AI can fake documents, but it can't fake a private key. What we've built: • Full implementation of W3C Verifiable Credentials, OpenID4VCI/VP, SD-JWT, and mDoc (Apple/Google Wallet) standards • Selective disclosure: prove you're over 18 without revealing your name, address, or date of birth • Complete issuer, holder, and verifier infrastructure • Apple Wallet, Google Wallet, and web wallet support Starting with age verification, expanding into employment verification, digital diplomas, content authenticity, and AI agent credentialing.
