AI Momentum Partners (AMP) is a Bay Area-based AI due diligence and engineering firm for private equity. We underwrite the AI case in a target before a sponsor signs and deliver it after close, with the same team on both sides of the deal. Founded in 2024 by former Google and BCG operators, we work across software, healthcare, business and financial services, serving mid-market sponsors, their portfolio companies, and burgeoning enterprises. In under two years we have run engagements across 10+ funds. Every engagement is anchored by a senior operator who has run the function in question, so a mandate to automate a SaaS revenue function is led by a former SaaS CRO. Behind them sits AMPED, our network of 2,000+ vetted consultants, operators, engineers, and researchers from Google, Meta, OpenAI, McKinsey, Anthropic, KKR, and more. Pre-close, we tell sponsors what AI does to a target's economics. Where the business is exposed to disintermediation, whether its AI claims survive contact with the code, what the upside is actually worth, and what the first 100 days should cost. Post-close, we put operators and engineers inside the portfolio company and ship production systems and agentic workflows into the stack it already runs on. No platform, model agnostic, built on tools the company already owns. We also make the internal team self-sufficient, through workshops, hands-on training, and a champion network that keeps shipping after we leave. The work is owned in-house well before exit, with no consultant dependency. Engagements run from a two-week diligence sprint to a value creation program that carries from close to exit. Sponsors bring us in before they sign because the estimate comes from the people who have to go hit it.
