About AiM Medical Robotics

AiM Medical Robotics brings precision, automation, and real-time imaging to the most complex environment in medicine: neurosurgery. Our portable robotic platform leverages MRI compatibility alongside other forms of image guidance to deliver unmatched precision, cutting procedure times by up to 50%, helping surgeons hit their targets the first time, and improving outcomes for patients with Parkinson's disease, epilepsy, and brain cancer. For decades, stereotactic neurosurgery has been built on a pre-operative plan. But once the case begins, the brain moves. Fluid loss, swelling, and positioning shift the anatomy by millimeters, enough to miss a target the size of a grain of rice. The visible cost is the roughly one in three DBS leads that need revision, more than half of those due to misplacement. The larger, quieter cost is the patients living with suboptimal outcomes and reduced quality of life from misplaced leads that never get revised, because some benefit is better than another operation. We're building a new category: real-time MRI-guided robotic neurosurgery. Our robot operates inside the MRI scanner, allowing surgeons to see live anatomy, replan during the case, and deliver sub-millimeter accuracy, confirmed before the patient leaves the OR. The platform is portable, fits existing ORs and MRI suites without modification, and integrates with Synaptive Medical's Modus Nav for a unified workflow. Where we are: First-in-human clinical study underway at Brigham and Women's Hospital, in the AMIGO suite, with Harvard's Surgical Navigation & Robotics Lab. Dr. Yulun Wang, founder of Computer Motion and InTouch Health, joined our board in March 2026 to guide AiM from first-in-human to commercial launch. Headquartered at PracticePoint in Worcester, MA, built on 15+ years of NIH-funded research at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. For surgeons, hospitals, investors, and partners ready to move neurosurgery from static plans to live, image-guided precision. Let's talk.
