About AIRIC | Artificial Intelligence Research and Innovation Center - Politecnico di Milano

AIRIC (Artificial Intelligence Research and Innovation Center) is the center of Politecnico di Milano dedicated to research and innovation in the field of artificial intelligence. Coordinated by professors from the Departments of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering (DEIB) and of Management Engineering (DIG), it systematizes the University's expertise and makes it readily available to businesses and public administration. AIRIC is a transversal infrastructure, conceived as an Athenaeum center, capable of activating and coordinating the most advanced expertise available within all departments of the Politecnico di Milano. For each project it involves the most qualified research groups, so as to offer tailor-made, scientifically rigorous and impact-oriented solutions. The center has a team of professionals that enables the development of directly usable applications in the real environment and supports the calibration of algorithms to maximize their effectiveness. The center aims to serve as a bridge between scientific research and concrete needs. Its goal is the development of innovative projects using the most advanced techniques provided by artificial intelligence in collaboration with businesses and public administration: from the study of the potential of artificial intelligence to the development and implementation of solutions in the field taking into account European regulations and their constraints. AIRIC is also an accelerator of skills and professional growth, allowing junior profiles to work side by side with senior researchers, giving them the opportunity to continue to grow by applying their knowledge in real-world, highly challenging contexts. AIRIC represents the meeting of the scientific rigor of the Polytechnic and the design flexibility needed to effectively address the challenges of artificial intelligence in the real world.
