Air Tutors pairs K-12+ and adult students with expert teachers for live, one-on-one and small-group tutoring that builds skills and confidence. We helped pioneer high-impact virtual tutoring more than a decade ago, before the model had a name, and we have improved it every year since. Expert educators: Most of our tutors hold a master's or doctorate and have more than ten years in the classroom. Many are bilingual, and together they teach in more than 35 languages. Every student keeps the same tutor for the whole program, with live, customized instruction every session which tutors tailor to their goals, strengths, interests, and relevant school curriculum and instruction. Proven Results: Independent researchers, funded by philanthropies rather than by us, have measured our impact. A Mathematica randomized controlled trial found that Air Tutors brought 30 percent more below-grade-level students up to grade level. A WestEd study found gains of roughly two to six months of additional learning, using a design built to meet ESSA Tier 1 evidence standards. People, not AI: Real teachers, do the teaching, every session. Our technology exists to strengthen that relationship, not to replace it, and we monitor 100 percent of sessions for quality. Built for schools and families: We partner with districts and schools across the country, and we work with families directly. We cover math, ELA, science, standardized test prep, even advanced AP high school and college courses. We support multilingual learners and students with IEPs and 504 plans and create custom scheduling and lesson content with robust reporting for schools and families.
