AK9A Alan’s K9 Academy is a professional dog training company serving Cartersville, Bartow County, and families throughout surrounding North Georgia communities. Founded in 2021 by Alan Carr, a Master Dog Trainer with more than 35 years of professional dog training experience, AK9A was built on a simple belief: effective dog training should produce practical, lasting results while strengthening the relationship between dogs and the people who love them. We provide customized training based on the individual dog, the family, and the challenges they are facing. Our training includes puppy training, obedience training, behavior modification, and help with challenging behavioral issues, including aggression and reactivity. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, we work to give owners the knowledge, communication skills, and tools they need to continue succeeding with their dogs. Our reputation has been built on client results, professional experience, and exceptional service. AK9A Alan’s K9 Academy was selected as the Number One statewide Best of Georgia dog training company in both 2024 and 2025, earning the top statewide honor for two consecutive years. AK9A is also a Christian faith-based company. We strive to operate with integrity, honesty, respect, and genuine care for the families who trust us with their dogs.
