The American Biotech Innovation Alliance (ABIA) was created in response to clear shifts underway in the global biotech landscape. The U.S. has led for decades, but that leadership is no longer guaranteed due to the changing environment. We’re seeing increased global competition, pressure on capital markets, and greater regulatory and manufacturing complexity and uncertainty. This is a moment that calls for strategic alignment in the American biotechnology sector, as continued innovation is not enough to mitigate the risks. ABIA brings together a focused group of industry leaders to review and assess risks and opportunities and define new strategies for the next phase of U.S. biotech leadership.
