Annogen is an independent research company and the trusted partner of leading biopharmaceutical, agricultural and academic research centers for bespoke gene expression engineering, working through two dedicated arms built on the same SuRE™ platform. ADVANCED THERAPIES We design gene expression systems for safer, more effective therapies. Using SuRE™, we screen large libraries of regulatory DNA directly in therapeutically relevant human cell types, generating experimental data that goes beyond computational prediction. AGRI We design gene expression for better, more resilient crops. Using SuRE™, we screen large libraries of a crop's own regulatory DNA directly in plant-relevant systems, again measured rather than predicted. OUR PLATFORMS SuRE™ screens promoters, enhancers and regulatory variants at scale to identify what delivers the right strength, specificity and control. AIM™ maps integration sites at scale while in parallel measuring expression for each site. This reveals where expression is stable, controlled, and best suited to your system. We believe in a future where advanced therapies precisely and durably treat diseases without unintended side effects, and where crops are more resilient, higher yielding and better suited to a changing climate, built on traits that classical breeding alone cannot reach. Annogen was founded in 2017 by Dr. Joris van Arensbergen, as a spin-out of the world-renowned Netherlands Cancer Institute (NKI), where the SuRE™ platform was first developed.
