About Arab Foundations Forum (AFF)
Who We Are The Arab Foundations Forum (AFF) is a not-for-profit, membership-based association of philanthropic foundations and organizations working across the Arab region. Our vision is to foster an effective and strategic philanthropic sector that engages with all aspects of society — advancing social responsibility, sustainable investment, and the pursuit of public good. What We Do AFF serves as a regional hub for networking, knowledge sharing, and capacity building among foundations, philanthropic institutions, and development actors. Through convenings, research, and collaborative initiatives, we aim to strengthen the capacity and impact of strategic philanthropy in the Arab region. Why We Do It The establishment of AFF emerged in response to the rapid growth of the philanthropic sector in the Arab world and the need for a dedicated infrastructure to support its evolution. Our goal is to cultivate a more coordinated, informed, and strategic culture of giving that drives sustainable social change. Our Objectives To serve as a knowledge and resource hub for strategic philanthropy in the Arab region. To provide members with tailored benefits and services, including access to research, convenings, and capacity-building programs. To advocate for the philanthropic sector, amplifying its voice and fostering collaboration with governments, international organizations, and civil society.
