Association for Machine Translation in the Americas (AMTA) is the North American component of the International Association for Machine Translation (IAMT). Founded in 1991 along with the Asian-Pacific and European counterparts AAMT and EAMT, AMTA is a non-profit organization that sponsors conferences, webinars and other events that bring together users, developers, researchers, and other individuals or institutional or corporate entities interested for the purpose of studying, evaluating, and understanding the science of machine translation and related multilingual technologies.
