Mapping the Earth's subsurface with quantum sensors and AI
About Atomionics
Everything the world is racing to build next, AI infrastructure, batteries, clean energy, defense systems, runs on what's beneath the surface. And we still can't see any of it. Exploration is slow, expensive, and mostly wrong. Atomionics changes that. Atomionics is a Singapore-based deep tech company building quantum sensors and AI to map the Earth's subsurface. We cool atoms down to micro Kelvin temperatures by shooting lasers at them, then measure gravity, acceleration, and rotation with 100x the resolution and 100x the speed of conventional tools. Our quantum gravimeter GRAVIO collects the data, our AI geologist ORE-O turns it into 3D subsurface models, and together they feed the Large Planet Model: a global model of the Earth's subsurface that compounds with every deployment. We work across critical minerals and mining, oil, gas, and transition fuels, geothermal, defense, navigation, and maritime, including GPS-denied positioning using gravity-map matching. At Atomionics we like to cultivate a casual and friendly environment. A small focused group in a high-energy environment, our team across Singapore (HQ), Darwin, Mumbai, and San Francisco brings deep interdisciplinary expertise across Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Software Engineering, AI, and Geoscience. Due to the complexity of our work, our employees interact across all these domains daily. We like to treat it as a "gym for our minds." We are backed by Paspalis, BHP Ventures, SG Growth Capital, Cap Vista (DSTA), In-Q-Tel (IQT), Wavemaker Partners, SGInnovate, and Enterprise Singapore. Subsurface intelligence, everywhere.
