About AuthentiSci
AuthentiSci is an online platform helping readers instantly tell whether science-related media is grounded in peer-reviewed research or built on shaky headlines. Navigate scientific claims with confidence: – Is the claim backed by published studies? – Has the evidence been interpreted correctly and communicated clearly? – Is crucial context missing or warped? Give scientists a direct public voice: – Provide a new method for scientists to give feedback on online media communicating their work and that of their peers, – Verified researchers assign scores and add notes to flag solid reporting or fill in the gaps. How it works: 1. Install the free browser extension tool, 2. Click the AuthentiSci icon on any article to see its score and expert feedback, 3. Request new or additional reviews of any science-related content, 4. If you are a scientist, log in with your ORCID ID to start contributing reviews and building a public profile of engagement. AuthentiSci is a non-profit initiative. It has been developed in partnership with Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings and Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics.
