Autism at Kingwood helps autistic people to live the lives they choose. We make sure we learn what matters to the people we support, and what they want to do with their lives and then we help them make this happen. Our philosophy is simple – we believe that autistic people can, like all of us, continue to develop and grow, make choices and be valued, and be active and contributing members of the community. That’s why our services are tailored to meet individual needs and are built around supporting people to live enjoyable, purposeful lives with a greater degree of independence in their own homes, within the communities in which they live. The people we support and their families are at the heart of everything we do. In addition to assisting with the development of skills necessary for day-to-day living, our dedicated team of professionals encourage people to become involved in a broad range of interests according to their individual preferences, including the opportunity to work.
