It's the essence of this that our team strive to instil in each meeting, incentive, conference and event and what sets us apart from our competitors. Aviva Stadium sits on the grounds of the oldest sports stadium in Europe. It was founded by Henry Dunlop in 1872 as a multi- purpose athletics grounds. Six years later, in 1878 the first international rugby match was played between Ireland and England which also makes us the oldest rugby international test venue in the world. Aviva Stadium proudly stands on this hallowed turf and continues to forge its own legacy hosting world class events throughout the year. Since opening in May 2010, the stadium has forged an indelible mark on the event landscape of Dublin city. In the five short years since opening we not only played host to major international sporting fixtures and concerts but has become one of the most popular conference and events venues in the city. It’s not hard to see why, our spectacular event spaces can transform from plenary sessions of 800 to gala dinners of 1140 and world street food events for 3,600. Our catering team design and create diverse food offerings all within the Stadium.
