About Baltimore City, Department of General Services
We're the heartbeat of Baltimore City Government. The Department of General Services is a government agency comprising more than 300 skilled employees with expertise in construction, building management and maintenance, fleet management, sustainability, and management of Baltimore City-owned transportation and facility assets. We accomplish this through the following divisions: Administration Fiscal Human Resources External and Legislative Affairs Project and Performance Management Facilities Maintenance Fleet Management Capital Projects Energy The Department of General Services performs an array of functions with the goal of supporting the work and services of Baltimore City agencies. The sole purpose of our department's existence is to empower City agencies to serve Baltimore residents at the highest levels of customer service.
