BAUER KOMPRESSOREN, a company of the BAUER GROUP, was founded in Munich in 1946 and is one of the world market leaders in the high and medium pressure range up to 500 bar and 500 kW with an export share of 90 %. The company has become known worldwide due to its compressors filling breathing air cylinders for firefighters and divers. Among others, product areas involve compressor systems including air and gas treatment and measurement technology for all industrial applications, natural gas and biogas filling stations, and gas injection molding (GIT). In addition, the Bauer Compressors Group, with its subsidiary Rotorcomp, is one of the largest manufacturers of low-pressure compressors. All screw and compressor blocks are manufactured at the German subsidiary Uniccomp GmbH in Geretsried near Munich. The company's headquarters are in Munich. The company and other subsidiaries were merged under the umbrella company BAUER COMP Holding GmbH in 2004.
