About BEDA - The Bureau of European Design Associations

We represent a network of professional design organisations across the European continent. BEDA has a clear vision: Design as an opportunity to drive sustainable growth, societal well-being, and prosperity across Europe. Our mission is to influence European policy to recognise the value of design, strengthen the role of design in digital, green, and social transformation, and support national design ecosystems through knowledge exchange and collaboration. Current initiative: MADres Co-funded by the European Union, MADres is a strategic project that equips designers and design-enablers with the tools, training, and networks to create #impactbydesign. It focuses on: - AI competencies and digital ethics,   - planetary design and accessibility,  - business cases and development.   Through MADres, we are targeting to develop a Living Design Policy Framework—a flexible model to help integrate design into national and EU-level agendas.
