About Belgian Health Data Agency
Mission: The Belgian Health Data Agency (HDA), in collaboration with regional and federal data providers and data users, will facilitate access to high quality health (care) data and health (care) related data in an easier and more uniform, trustworthy, transparent and secure manner through strong data governance . The HDA supports population management, health prevention and healthcare policy making driven by research and innovation which is based on the needs and active role of citizens to ultimately help improve their health and quality of life. Vision: A data-driven healthcare system, where data solidarity, trust and self-determination are central, and high quality health (care) data and health (care) related data are available in a uniform, transparent and secure manner, will lead to higher quality, affordable, preventive and goal-oriented care for every citizen.
