About Re-Cycle (Bikes to Africa)

Re-Cycle is a UK charity turning unwanted bikes into life-changing opportunities. We collect pre-loved bicycles from across the UK and give them a second life in Africa, where our trusted partners get them into the hands of people who need them. Our bikes help children get to school, adults get to work, and communities access essential services. But it doesn’t stop at the bike. Our partners also provide training in bike repair and maintenance, helping people keep their bikes on the road for years to come. Since 1997, Re-Cycle has sent over 160,000 bicycles to communities across Africa, transforming something that might otherwise gather dust into a simple but powerful tool for education, employment and opportunity.
