Black Fives is a cultural IP and sports heritage platform built on a proprietary archive of early African American basketball and exclusive cultural sports IP. The organization preserves, activates, and monetizes the history of early African American basketball (1904–1950) by transforming its archival and intellectual property assets into storytelling, licensing, partnerships, commerce, and educational applications. Black Fives has collaborated with global brands and institutions including PUMA, the BIG EAST Conference, and leading museums, with its artifacts exhibited at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the New-York Historical Society, the LBJ Presidential Library, and the Museum of the City of New York.
