Block House Investments, LLC (“Block House”) employs a straightforward philosophy to investing client capital. Utilizing publicly traded companies, we are investing through the perspective of a business owner that holds a long-term view and deep understanding of the businesses we own. We construct a well-focused portfolio of exceptional companies that have, or have the potential, to meet our investment criteria which include, but are not limited to, a quantifiable competitive moat, aligned management and shareholder interest, and a strong growth and capital allocation strategy. Any current and/or future employee of the firm must have a significant portion of their personal net worth invested alongside clients, practicing what we preach. We recognize that the landscape for managed investment services is becoming increasingly restrictive. Investors face a dual threat to objectivity: the conflict-of-interest structures inherent in large-scale banking, and the consolidation of independent Registered Investment Advisors by private equity firms.
