The district is conveniently situated along the A12 and A120 investment corridors between London and the European ports of Felixstowe and Harwich, and is within 20 minutes drive of Stansted Airport. Constantly improving rail and road connections together with the development of Stansted Airport as London’s third airport have led to significant population and economic growth within the area. At Braintree District Council, our corporate strategy has been developed by asking our residents what is important to them, and how we can improve things.
