It still takes and rips apart far too many lives. ​ 1 in 7 women in the UK will develop breast cancer in their lifetime. And it’s still the biggest killer of working age women*. 11,500 women and 90 men die from it each year. That’s one person every 45 minutes. ​ And it can take a devastating emotional toll. Coming to terms with a diagnosis. Dealing with the effects of treatment. Lying awake at night worrying whether it’ll come back. And for people living with incurable metastatic breast cancer, wondering what the future holds and whether they’ll be able to get the treatments they need. Feeling invisible and alone. Wondering how to explain it to their loved ones. ​ This needs to change. That’s why we’re funding some of the world’s best science now, so no one dies of breast cancer in the future. We're here with information and support now, so no one faces breast cancer alone.
