About California Women in Homeland Security

CA-WHS is the first nonprofit, nonpartisan organization of its kind based on the West Coast. While CA-WHS collaborates with many organizations involved in public safety and homeland security, we are independent and do not operate under the auspices of any local, state or federal government agency. We provide a professional organization for women in the field who are committed to mitigating the impacts of natural disasters and manmade safety events and building more resilient communities. Our members represent a broad spectrum including emergency management, law enforcement, crisis management, cyber security, counter-terrorism and disaster preparedness/relief/response. Our mission is simple: provide a forum for women in our industry to build relationships, grow in expertise and contribute to philanthropic causes, while working to improve our collective security and intelligence on critical issues.
