Caird builds and manages Term Loan B portfolios for banks, which are liquid C&I loans that trade in secondary markets. Banks can use them to grow their C&I portfolio without waiting on local loan demand, and can sell out of a position rather than hold it to maturity as needed based on broader balance sheet goals, though liquidity varies with market conditions and loans can trade below par. Every loan is underwritten in house by our own credit team and delivered in the format our clients' credit committees are accustomed to, with the ongoing reporting built for that same committee and for its regulators. Each loan is approved by the client's own internal committee, and we manage the portfolio as a fiduciary, working alongside the bank with its committee, its board and its examiners. We work with a bank's credit team rather than around it, and the platform is fully customizable to the bank's spread, geographic, risk, return and industry parameters. Our team has spent decades in asset management for broadly syndicated debt, and we built and ran this platform inside a regional bank before launching Caird in 2025, which is where the underwriting, documentation and reporting all came from. We also advise on a bank's securities portfolio and help with other capital markets transactions.
