About Carambola - Healthy School Lunches
Carambola is Ireland's Original School Meals Provider. Established in 2003, Carambola continues to lead the innovation within the sector. Carambola was chosen by Government to conduct a 'Proof of Concept' exercise to demonstrate how to serve children a hot meal in the middle of the day in a school environment where there were no catering facilities. Of course Carambola succeeded. As a result, Government has committed to feeding every child in the State a hot meal in the middle of the day by 2025. Every other supplier in the sector continue to follow and benefit from Carambola's lead; to be copied is to be admired. Carambola - a rich proud heritage.
