The Middle East and North Africa's Energy and Climate Think Tank
About Carboun Institute
The Carboun Institute is the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region's first independent climate and energy policy think tank. Established in 2025, we drive evidence-based research, policy analysis, and advocacy to accelerate decarbonization, enhance climate resilience, and strengthen regional climate diplomacy. Drawing on our 15-year legacy as the Carboun Initiative, we serve as an essential bridge between global climate science and the Middle East's distinct regional realities. Our deep-rooted understanding of regional contexts transforms universal climate knowledge into actionable solutions tailored for the MENA region's unique environmental, economic, and social landscapes.
