We work for a more sustainable future every day. With our pioneering battery technologies we aim at achieving a widespread adoption of electromobility and zero-emission transport. We know that this is only possible by offering competitive, first-class solutions and services as an alternative to fossil fuels. We currently have 6 research and development centres around the world, employing nearly 18 000 people. We have more than 30 000 patents granted and pending, and have contributed to the development or modification of more than 110 industry standards, supporting the transition to electric transportation worldwide. CATL in Hungary Our second European manufacturing base in Debrecen is of strategic importance to us. Our plant in Hungary will enable us to efficiently serve the needs of the European market, develop our manufacturing network and contribute to the uptake of electric transport in Europe and the successful realisation of the energy transition. By bringing production closer to our automotive partners, our transport routes are shortened, resulting in reduced CO2 emissions. We are proud that as a global market leader, our work also supports the European Union's carbon neutrality goals.
