CATS Tonometer, LLC developed the FDA 510(k) cleared Correcting Applanation Surface Tonometer (CATS) Prism which significantly improves Intraocular Pressure (IOP) measurement. IOP is the only leading indicator of glaucoma, and, based on scientific studies, the CATS’ 94% improved accuracy provides the sight-saving data clinicians need to make a timely, accurate diagnosis for half of the population. Glaucoma is the leading cause of preventable blindness in the US, affecting 3.3M Americans by 2020 and 80M people worldwide. The CATS solution is implemented by simply changing out the legacy prism and does not require any change in clinician measurement technique, clinic office space, and patient throughput.
