CEI Africa
Investment solutions and financing to bridge the access to energy gap in Sub-Saharan Africa.
About CEI Africa
Clean Energy and Energy Inclusion for Africa was established in 2021 by KfW on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. CEI Africa seeks systemic solutions to accelerate access to energy (A2E) in Sub-Saharan Africa by leveraging its donors’ capital into growing key A2E subsectors faster. Currently, the Foundation does this through two funding windows combined with technical assistance. With EUR 49m currently committed, the Foundation is managed by a consortium consisting of Triple Jump as the Foundation Manager, Persistent as the Crowdlending window lead, and GreenMax Capital Advisors as the Results-based financing window lead.
