About Georgia Tech CEISMC

The Center for Education Integrating Science, Mathematics, and Computing (CEISMC) is a unit within the College of Lifetime Learning at Georgia Tech. Since 1991, CEISMC has served as the primary connection point between Georgia Tech and pre-collegiate education communities, supporting learning pathways from early exploration through postsecondary access and future workforce readiness. CEISMC designs and leads research-informed STEM/STEAM learning experiences in and out of the classroom. Faculty and staff develop and implement programs that advance evidence-based approaches to STEM education and educational reform. CEISMC also offers professional development for educators, with an emphasis on innovative curricula and research-informed practices in areas such as computer science, robotics, invention and entrepreneurship, and the integration of STEM with the arts. Through sustained community engagement and long-term partnerships, CEISMC supports learning systems that expand access, promote student success, and connect education to real-world outcomes across Georgia and beyond. EXCEL, Georgia Tech's inclusive postsecondary education program, offers two-year and four-year college certificates for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
