Center for Care Innovations
The safety net is full of innovators. CCI is the trusted guide that helps them go further, faster.
About Center for Care Innovations
The Center for Care Innovations helps the people who power the safety net go further, faster. We've worked alongside the organizations that serve historically underinvested communities across California and beyond: community health centers, public hospitals, tribal providers, community-based organizations, and managed care plans. These are the people who serve everyone regardless of ability to pay, often with more demand than resources. They already know what their communities need. Our job is to help them build, adapt, and go further, not to hand them a playbook. We work through three lines: Capacity Building Initiatives are structured, cohort-based programs that build real capability over months, sometimes years. Accelerators, learning networks, and collaboratives where safety-net teams strengthen the skills and systems to change how care is delivered, and track improvement they can carry forward on their own. Advising and Consulting brings specialized expertise, coaching, and thought partnership when the work calls for it. Our coaches and subject matter experts embed inside large-scale initiatives, build capability across networks, and support single organizations navigating something genuinely hard, from population health management to AI strategy to major policy shifts like CalAIM. Ecosystem Development is our open door. Summits, virtual learning series, and tailored convenings where the field comes together to learn from each other, co-design solutions, and think out loud about what's hardest right now. What gets built in those rooms doesn't stay in those rooms. These three aren't a ladder. Most partners move between them over time, and each meets you at a different moment. 25+ years in, our focus is the same: safety-net leaders drive the change, and CCI is the steady partner who helps them get there.
