Cheeky Panda started with a simple question: Why the hell are we still making toilet paper out of century-old trees? It’s 2016. Andy Murray’s just won Wimbledon, Bake Off is still on the BBC, and everyone’s out hunting Pokémon like it’s a full-time job. Meanwhile, married duo Julie & Chris are getting gloriously lost in South-East Asia, where they stumble across mountains of bamboo. Not a little. A LOT. It’s everywhere. And barely anyone’s using it, despite the fact it grows back super fast after it’s chopped down. So they roll with it - literally. They turn that bamboo into toilet roll. Not just any toilet roll. Better toilet roll. Softer. Stronger. Nicer to your wallet. And to our planet. That’s how Cheeky Panda is born. Today, we’ve taken bamboo beyond the loo, tackling single-use wherever it lurks.
