About CIEMAT
El CIEMAT (Centro de Investigaciones Energéticas, Medioambientales y Tecnológicas) es un Organismo Público de Investigación adscrito al Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovación y Universidades a través de la Secretaría General de Investigación, focalizado en los ámbitos de la energía y el medio ambiente y los campos tecnológicos relacionados con ambos. Tiene como misión contribuir al desarrollo sostenible de España y a la calidad de vida de los ciudadanos mediante la generación y aplicación del conocimiento científico y tecnológico. El CIEMAT está diversificado tecnológica y geográficamente. Además de la sede de Madrid en la que trabaja una parte significativa del personal, se cuenta en Andalucía con la Plataforma Solar de Almería (PSA), una gran instalación científica en tecnologías solares; en Soria con el Centro de Desarrollo de Energía Renovables (CEDER) y el Centro Internacional de Estudios de Derecho Ambiental (CIEDA); en Extremadura con el Centro Extremeño de Tecnologías Avanzadas (CETA) ubicado en Trujillo, y en Barcelona el Centro de Investigaciones Sociotécnicas (CISOT). __ CIEMAT is a public research body assigned to the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities under the General Secretariat for Research, focusing on energy and environment and the technologies related to them. Its mission is to contribute to sustainable development of the country and to the quality of life of its citizens through the generation and application of scientific and technological knowledge. CIEMAT is technologically and geographically diversified. In addition to the Madrid headquarters, Andalusia has the Plataforma Solar de Almería (PSA), a large scientific facility in solar technologies; in Soria the Renewable Energy Development Center (CEDER) and the International Center for Environmental Law Studies (CIEDA); in Extremadura the Extremadura Center for Advanced Technologies (CETA) located in Trujillo, and in Barcelona the Sociotechnical Research Center (CISOT).
