About Circle Urban Ministries
Since 1974, Circle Urban Ministries has served as a transformational anchor in Chicago’s West Side Austin community. A 2024 independent study found that every $1 invested in Circle generates $8.60 in social value (SROI). On our 3-acre campus, we pair crisis response with long-term solutions—housing, healthcare, youth development, food access, recovery, and spiritual care—so neighbors move from crisis to stability to success. Each decade we’ve tackled a systemic barrier: launched a federally qualified health center; founded a Level 1 K–8 school; built/renovated 500+ affordable homes; and opened a women-and-children recovery home.
