The City of Thousand Oaks is located in beautiful Ventura County just 12 miles inland from the Pacific Ocean. Nestled against the Santa Monica Mountains, Thousand Oaks is surrounded by 15,000 acres of natural publicly owned open space. This open space contains 120 miles of trails for hiking, biking, or just leisurely walking.
