About Civil Nuclear Constabulary

Together, we are exceptional. The Civil Nuclear Constabulary (CNC) is the armed police force in charge of protecting civil nuclear sites and nuclear materials in England, and Scotland. We employ over 1,800 police officers and members of staff and are responsible for the armed protection of civil nuclear facilities and materials whether they are on site or in transit. Counter-terrorism is a major part of our policing and we also protect other, non-nuclear critical national infrastructure.
