About Civil Society Together CIC

Civil Society Together is a values-led non-profit. Until recently, our organisation was called Civil Society Consulting CIC. Our mission is to support and catalyse the VCFSE by being a reliable source of excellent - but affordable - consultancy support. We are experts in impact measurement, research, evaluation, and systems change thinking. Importantly, we are “absolute pros” when it comes to devising methodologies that optimise budgets and resources to produce exceptional work at low cost to our treasured clients. We also support grassroots organisations at no cost, through Nurturing Grassroots, a longstanding capacity building programme. Three years ago, based on our extensive and varied work across England, we came to the conclusion that all society’s most salient problems have a shared root cause: the loss of connection and community. We live in a system that inherently creates widespread disconnection, which leads to widespread loneliness, which creates the conditions for division, which inhibits systems change. It’s a vicious cycle. Three years ago, we launched Steps to Togetherness, a national, grassroots-led systems change movement that aims to bring about a ‘behavioural and cultural revolution’ in favour of more connection within and between communities. Through this work, we have become experts in storytelling, recently launching Storytelling for Togetherness, through which we have been building grassroots capacity in film-making and coordinating a national collaborative social media campaign.
