The Clara D. Young Legacy Foundation exists to expand access to affordable, dignified memory care and respite support for families impacted by dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. The Foundation is responsible for the full operational oversight of Clara’s House – Pleasant Grove, our flagship community-based memory care and respite initiative in Dallas, Texas. This includes organizational planning, fundraising, community partnerships, program development, caregiver support services, operational readiness, and long-term sustainability. Our mission is to help develop and operate affordable memory care environments for low-income and underserved families who are too often priced out of traditional long-term care options. We are focused on creating safe, compassionate, culturally responsive care that allows individuals to age with dignity while giving families access to the support they need closer to home.
