Clipper Petroleum began in 1933 as the W.F. Homeyer Oil Company. After an around-the-world flight on the iconic Pan-Am Clipper in 1957, the company adopted the name we know today—an homage to the spirit of adventure, innovation, and possibility. In 1974, Clipper entered a new chapter of family ownership that continues more than 50 years later. Guided by a long-standing commitment to excellence, integrity, and community impact, Clipper has grown from a single operation into a multi-state enterprise. Today, Clipper operates 23 convenience stores, 4 Subways, and 2 Bojangles restaurants, and distributes fuel to more than 300 partner locations across the Southeast. As the company evolves, the next generation of leadership remains focused on delivering exceptional service, supporting local communities, and driving the organization forward with a future-ready mindset.
