Medical innovation for resource-limited environments
About College of Remote and Offshore Medicine Foundation
The College of Remote and Offshore Medicine Foundation is an academic non-profit organisation dedicated to maintaining standards for healthcare professionals working in the remote, offshore, military and security industries. CoROM was founded on three principles – provision of medical education in the form of academic and continuous professional development resources, delivery of supervised clinical electives for acquisition of practical remote medical skills and administration of a registration body for paramedic professionals meeting the highest standards of care in austere environments. The College is based in Malta, Europe where it is registered with the Malta Further and Higher Education Authority as a degree granting institution. Collaboration with several international partner organisations allows CoROM to provide an extended range of academic oversight for healthcare providers in different phases of training and clinical practice.
