Excellence through Authenticity
About Corporate Queer
Corporate Queer is a platform for LGBTI+ professionals and all those with an open mind, working in international business. Our aim is to challenge the heteronormativity in the corporate world by connecting with each other across the globe to share our knowledge and experiences. We don't justify the status quo. We believe in ‘Excellence through Authenticity’. Why? We are courageously striving for a (corporate) world in which everyone can be their authentic self by seeking out, with love and respect, to the people around us who sometimes have been raised to think very differently. How? We achieve our goal not only by exchanging experiences and sharing knowledge among LGBT-like-minded people, but also by engaging in constructive conversations with our allies and counterparts. With the Corporate Queer movement we try to create awareness by challenging what we consider as ‘normal’ in our society. We are not against straight people, we are not asking organizations to hire more LGBT-people. We don’t believe in quota as a goal in itself either, it can only be used as an instrument to stimulate change. Don’t panic; just let us challenge and stretch what you define as normal. Let us stretch you. How much diversity can you handle?
