About Economic Opportunity Program of Chemung and Schuyler Counties
At EOP, we do people. For more than six decades, the Economic Opportunity Program, Inc. of Chemung and Schuyler Counties (EOP) has worked alongside individuals and families to create pathways to stability, opportunity and a stronger future. As a Community Action Agency and the largest nonprofit, community-based human services organization serving Chemung and Schuyler Counties, EOP takes an integrated, person-centered approach to strengthening the fabric of our community. Today, we serve more than 5,000 community members annually. Our work recognizes that lasting economic stability is rarely shaped by one need alone. Through #TransitionAlignment, EOP brings programs, partnerships and community resources together around four strategic areas: Access to Healthcare | Food Security | Childcare & Youth Care | Housing Security Our services span early childhood education and school readiness, youth development, family support, health access, food and nutrition, literacy, housing and energy services, community development, and support for veterans and families. But our work is about more than delivering services. We help people build the skills, resources and connections they need to help themselves while creating a stronger, more sustainable community.
